LuLaRoe: To Good to be True? Facts, Figures, and Numbers!

We were right where you are at one point! We were scouring the internet for more information about LuLaRoe. Questions were running through our heads for days. Do we sign up? Do we not? Should we just be a dedicated LuLaRoe addicts? Something inside of us was driving us to continue to research and investigate.

The biggest piece of information we can share with you is that LuLaRoe is NOT a get rich quick scheme. I repeat, IT IS NOT A GET RICH QUICK SCHEME. If that is what you are looking for, you will not find it with LuLaRoe. It is a real job, a business, with real work, and you will be your own boss. Knowing that information you must realize that with every business there will be ups and downs. You will have to work many hours, you know like a REAL job. If you run LuLaRoe like a business then you can really make money. If you don't invest time and work, then you will not want to waste your time.

Now for the nitty gritty... Is the market becoming over-saturated with consultants? This is being said a lot, all over the place. We will be the first to tell you that we never heard of LuLaRoe until recently. There was one pop-up that we were added to forever ago, but we didn't really pay any attention to it.
(Sorry, MEG, we got your back now. Leggings on us?! Kisses!)

Once we did pay attention, that was all we could do. Both of us joined tonnnnnssss of VIP groups, Periscopes, Instagrams, Twitters. And let us just guess, you did the exact same! Why else wouldn't it seem like it is over-saturated? Your life has become completely saturated with an abundance of LuLaRoe. It is all you see in your newsfeed. You have surrounded yourself with all things LuLaRoe, but think about this....

You may have known LuLaRoe for a while, but how many people around you know about LuLaRoe? Are there very many consultants in your area? Or even any that you know of?

For me not many people know. The nearest consultant is an hour radius from us! We have an exponential amount of room for growth and I would say just like all consultants, so do you!

LOOK AT THESE FACTS AND FIGURES:

After evaluating these facts you see that the market is no where near over saturated. There is more than enough room for growth for every consultant; new and old.

You just have to decide if you are willing to put the effort in to working your business. If you want to know more just contact us. We are here to help everyone!

LuLaRoe: Leggings are for Summer!

Leggings CAN be Worn in Summer!

With the warm weather finally here in Kentucky, many people say that leggings are not for summer time. WRONG! These leggings feel amazing and I refuse to limit them to a spring, fall, and winter wardrobe only. And with all the super fun prints why wouldn't you want them all year long?

You may be wondering how to style your leggings for these hot summer months to be (a) comfortable in the heat and (b) not look silly. There are two ways that I style my leggings for these warmer months. It is cute and super simple to do.

First, I roll them neatly to capri length. If your like me you may worry that this will stretch out the ankles of your leggings. My calves are not as skinny as my ankles and I was hesitant that this would happen at first. I rolled them back down after being up all day and I panicked! They were super baggy. I hand washed them and hung dry them. They snapped right back to where they were supposed to be. So do not worry! Once you wash them they will snap right back to normal!

This is my beloved pineapple leggings. Styled like this they are a win, win. Adorable summer print and BAM summer length capri pants! Can you say, LOVE IT! This is just a top I already had and my favorite jean jacket with the sleeves rolled up.

My pineapple leggings!

Many of you may scoff at the idea of the jean jacket in the summer. It is a must for me because I freeze in the air conditioning when indoors. You could ditch the jacket and still look adorable!

Two LulaRoe Redheads
The next warm weather method is to roll them under. It is quite simple to achieve this look that my Lula-sister Stephanie from Two LuLaRoe Redheads (photo on the above) or another one of my Lula-sisters from LuLaRoe Kortney Test (photo below).

LulaRoe Kortney Test

To achieve this look, you pull the leggings up until the ankle band is almost to the knee. Leave the ankle band there and pull the scrunched up fabric back down until it is at the desired capri length. Basically, you are rolling it up one big time on the inside. This will give you a clean polished look and again BAM summer capri leggings. Add a cute LuLaRoe top and you are ready for summer while wearing these amazing buttah leggings!

Nxt time you go to your closet to get an outfit for summer, don't skip the leggings because you think they are not summer wear. They are anytime of the year wear! And it's simple to do!

LulaRoe: What do they stand for?

LulaRoe: What do they stand for?

Not many businesses are developed without someone having a reason or having a just cause in developing them. You should know that a reason "why" is enough to drive people to pursue many different adventures in life. I am fairly certain that most businesses were once the baby of someone with a dream, a desire, and a drive to succeed. This is somewhat how LulaRoe was formed. A woman had a desire and made it a reality. Luckily, she is sharing her reality as an opportunity.

DeAnne Stidham had a desire to provide for her family without sacrificing her precious time with them. This desire to focus on her family and provide for them was where her drive to create LulaRoe came from. All it took was for people to believe in her and she was able to take off with her business. After all, isn't that what we all want? We all want someone to believe in us and reassure all of us that we are capable of achieving our goals or dreams.

From this experience in DeAnne's life, believing in others is a large portion of what LulaRoe stands for. They believe in you and encourage you to be successful. Take a look at the mission statement of LulaRoe below.

How much more inspiration could a company pack in to one statement? They want you to have the freedom in your life to become successful; without sacrificing time with your family. If I had to say one thing that LulaRoe as a business is focused on; I would chose the word family. After all, the company is named after DeAnne's granddaughters. All of the different styles are named after people in her family. This signifies that she is focused on her family and LulaRoe strives to give you the time to focus on your family.

Knowing that this company will offer us the freedom to focus on our family, they will believe in us, and encourage us makes us both even more excited that we decided to join the movement.

What about you? Do you have someone that believes in you and encourages you in all things that you do? Have you achieved your hopes and dreams?

If you are lacking these things in your life, we believe in you. We encourage you to do what will make you happy in life and what will give you the freedom to focus on your family, goals, hopes, and dreams.

If you have a passion for fashion like us and want to know how you can join the movement, please contact us. We are here for you! And would love to help you take control of your future!

Call me Mary Beth: Mother, Sister, Daughter, Friend, & Much More!

Starring in my own reality show titled, A Modern Cinderella; One Woman's Search for Love and Leggings. Kidding, about the reality show. Though my life could some what be exciting enough for a star TV show.  Day one of my Lula Roe journey has began, and I hope that you continue to follow our team through this amazing experience.
I'm a very selfless person in that this bio is very hard for me. I am always thinking of others long before I get to myself. "Do unto others, as you would have the do unto you," is something my dad as a little girl always taught me. Growing up in church with a Christian father has impacted my life in so many ways. Seeing his love for Christ made me realize that he has a caring, kind and loving heart. My parents have both been a huge part of my life, the foundation of the person I am today is tribute to them. My mother has taught me to always work hard for everything you have and to always put your children first. There is no amount of thank you I could give all of my family that would be equivalent to all the things they have done for me and my family.

Being a Mother two the most amazing littles on this planet is what I was truly made for. They have taught me so much about myself that I never knew. Being a mother is the hardest job I have, but the most rewarding yet! Between the rush to school every morning, the dirty house after work and they kids fighting most night, I sometimes take for granted how blessed I truly am! There is no such thing as the perfect mother, truthfully there's not. I simply try to teach my children to love and respect others and to be their self. After all everyone else is already take.

As far as hobbies go, playing shopkins with my little girl , or racing cars in the floor of my sons bedroom take up a lot of my free time! I do however enjoy to go to the movies, catching dinner with friends, and love to go to dirt track races. Traveling is one of my ghost hobbies, meaning I never get to do it, but long for it in my life. I would love to take off in my little Cruze and travel the states, see the world for what it really is. My life is busy, stressful sometimes, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. I am nothing short of an ordinary mom who loves her children and works for all she has.
Stay tuned for more highlights of our journey as best friends become business partners!

LulaRoe Newsflash: Our Business is Growing

My LulaRoe Newsflash!!!! The Business is Growing!

Did you realize the name of the blog changed? I am so excited to share with all of you that I have a LulaBaby! She is an amazing person with a heart of gold. Her name is Mary Beth. We have known each other for a long time. Years ago, I didn't know that there was something in my life missing until I met her and we became very close. She is not just my friend, but she is my family. When either of us needs to talk or needs a good laugh we know that we can depend on each other! It just makes sense to both of us that we start this journey together.

The plan from the very beginning was for us to be working our businesses together. We will be blogging together, tweeting together, instagram posting together, pinteresting together, and working pop-ups together. Both of us love everything about LulaRoe and what the company stands for.

However, there was a minor set back that we worked together to figure out. I submitted first and we knew that she would be soon to follow. Everything has worked out and it did so even faster than we both expected. This is a new journey for both of us. We are looking forward to working with everyone and making many new friends along the way. And most of all focusing on the satisfaction of all of our customers. We both want you all to feel amazing in everything you put on, because you are all beautiful!

You may be curious how this is going to work out. Lets just be frank, taxes together were not an idea that we thought would be fun. It would get messy and very confusing about who was making what. Therefore, we decided that we both will operate as sole business owner's, but we will do everything together. This means that we will have our own personal inventories. We will function as an individual businesses and will still be doing everything together.

What does this mean for our customers? What that means for all of you is that we will have more to chose from. We will not have double of every style, at least not at first. Instead in the beginning we will both carry different items. This way all of our amazing Lula-lovers can shop a wider variety of styles. Eventually, our goal is to offer the same styles, but this will give you all ample opportunity to find those beloved prints!

I am so excited to introduce you all to my wonderful friend and my Lula-Buddy, Mary Beth. You will all love her as much as I do. Please stay tuned for a bio from Mary Beth and you can all get to know her and love her the way that I do!

My LulaRoe Promise to My Customers

My Promise to My Customers as a LulaRoe Consultant

In a world where fashion and your figure means so much to people it is hard to be comfortable in your own skin. I have struggled so much with who I am and being what I want to be. Growing up with extremely curly hair and being overweight the majority of my life was not easy, especially in school. Being bullied for those attributes the majority of my life made it hard for me to feel comfortable as me. I would pull my hair up tight in a bun to hide my crazy hair and I would hide in baggy clothes. Thinking that no one would notice me to much.

That was where I was wrong. I was frequently questioned about my race and belittled about my hair. Why was my hair such a big deal? Why was my race even a question? Why did this matter to other people so much? I often wondered all of these same questions and still to this day I feel like some of my happiness in my childhood was robbed from me by other children.

It wasn't until I was older that I realized what drives people to focus on traits in a person and use those traits to make them feel like less of a human being. People (kids and adults) that belittle others are doing this to make themselves feel better about their own faults. There is nothing that irks me more than for a person to make themselves feel better at the expense of others. This is not an attribute that any person should ever desire to have.

You may be wondering why I think that this is a vital part of LulaRoe. As a person that has struggled the majority of her life to feel comfortable in her own skin, it only makes sense that LulaRoe be a part of my life. LulaRoe is all about comfort and being who you want to be. Just like this, I want to encourage everyone to feel comfortable as themselves. You should feel that you can wear anything and that you are all beautiful!

LulaRoe offers a vast variety of prints and styles. There is something for everyone. Whether it is a wild print or a subtly solid, they got you covered. That is what I love about LulaRoe. I can be me in no matter what style or print I chose. I don't have to be the mirror image of someone else. I can be me in my car leggings or my favorite black Irma.

No matter what race, nationality, style, shape, or weight; you are all beautiful. Often our biggest flaws (or what we as a person view as flaws) are what makes us extraordinary and beautiful. If the world were full of mirror images of one person it would be a pretty boring place. Stop comparing yourself to everyone else. Stop trying to be like everyone else. Just be you and nothing but you. Do not by anything that is not you because someone else would buy it.

As a LulaRoe consultant I promise to never compare myself to anyone else and never compare my customers to anyone else. I want to lift you all up and encourage you all. My biggest hope is that at the end of the day all of my customers feel amazing and beautiful. That they all find that one piece of LLR that puts a smile on their face and gives them the confidence to just be who they are, not what they think they should be based upon others.

We are all beautiful! No matter what anyone ever says to you or tells you, YOU ARE ALL BEAUTIFUL! Don't let harsh words of another tear you down or kill your spirit. Always be true to yourself and as a LulaRoe consultant I will always see the beauty in everyone.

I think I can, So I did! How this translates in to LulaRoe.

I think I can, So I did! How this translates in to my LulaRoe business!

Friday (5/6/16) I graduated from college with my Associates of Arts degree. This is just the first step in the degrees that I plan to obtain. You may be wondering why did I wait so long in life to go to college? I say WHY NOT! It is never to late to get an education. I don't care how old you are or what you have going on in your life, it can be done.

It wasn't always easy and there have been many times that I wanted to give up. Instead of running from my education I embraced it. There were times that I wish it wasn't there. Of course I had ups and downs. If I said I didn't, I would be lying.

For instance, when I was in the hospital receiving a shot because the baby in my tummy failed to grow after being conceived a mere 4 weeks earlier(2014). In this horrible time of losing a child I focused on school. I sat in that hospital bed and wrote a paper for one of my finals. A whole year later I would be on that very same floor delivering my 4th beautiful baby. Still, I was studying for another round of finals (2015). Another year later (2016, this year) I spent two months at my mothers caring for my younger siblings while she was in the hospital with my step-father. I still did not give up. I persevered.

How did I stay positive? I knew that this degree was the first step in getting a higher education. That this was the beginning of a new part of my life and that only I have the power to change my destiny. I am the one that wanted to change things and I knew that this was what I needed to do.

So take it from me...It can be done! As long as you believe that you can do it!

How does this intertwine with LulaRoe? If I have learned anything thus far, it is that this is the exact positive outlook that you have to have with LulaRoe. You may hear other consultants say "The clothes sell themselves," "If you don't do well you can return your inventory for a restocking fee if it doesn't sell," or even "You can sell your inventory to another consultant at wholesale."

While all of this is true, did you ever think about how these phrases translate to all of us "Lulababies"? (Lulababy = Consultant/Sponsors term for a woman/man that signs up under them)

I will tell you what it says. It says that we can be negative about the outcome of our business before we even begin. I know that this is not how I want to view my new business. Yes, I and all other Lulababies need to know that there is options if things don't work out. However, I think that we need to start out more positive about our new businesses.

Yes, LulaRoe is a personal business endeavor. It is not another MLM company or another "pyramid" scheme. It is a legitimate business where you own your own inventory and your sales are up to how you operate your business.

In talking to anyone that is interested in submitting their application focus on the positive! If they ask "What if it doesn't work out?" You can mention these options, but you need to refocus on the positive.

My sponsor is amazing like that! She is positive and focuses on the positive. I love that about her! Yes, I had my doubts. Who wouldn't, with such a huge investment? However, instead of being negative about everything, try being positive!

Tell yourself that you can do it. Encourage yourself and all those around you. You may be quite shocked at the outcome!

Only you have the power to change your future. Nobody else. Just you.

Use the power of positivity to encourage yourself in all things that you do! And you will be able to accomplish great things!

Emily Eden

LulaRoe: The Wait is On and So is the Remodel!

Lula Roe: The Wait is On and So is the Remodel!

Its been a while since I updated everyone on my queue wait and the remodel!

I have been working diligently on my Lula-Lounge. Currently there are muscles that I didn't know I even had that are hurting. Have you ever had sore muscles in your bottom? I do now and that is not fun!

First thing accomplished was replacing the broken/missing ceiling tiles. While the husband accomplished this task I pulled up the carpet on the steps. Yay, thousands of staples said no pliers and flat head screwdriver ever! I was proud that I only walked away with one puncture from a staple. Go ME! The bad news is that the person I bought the house from was a professional painter. He painted every wall, trim, and ceiling in the house with this not so desirable paint color/technique. UGGG! Anywho, there is overspray on every single step. Looks like I just signed up for a major sanding job.

And let me just set the record straight...Mastic Adhesive Carpet Glue is no joke. I am pretty certain that some evil genius invented it to ruin the lives, backs, and hands of those that encounter it. I can hear his devilish laugh "Muahahahahaha!" Really dude? Is all that really necessary?

The ugly maroon commercial grade carpet has been removed from half of the basement so that we can remove the glue. This is because there is "stuff" that inhabits the basement and I refuse to haul it 15 miles to a storage unit for a week or two while we DIY our floor. Back to that dreaded mastic... We have scraped it, vacuumed, scraped it, vacuumed, scraped it, and lastly vacuumed. Hence our muscles begging for mercy. We tried an adhesive remover on one small portion of the glue. Meh, it removed some, but definitely not the results we hoped for. Looks like we are off to the rental company to get some heavy machine that can get this job done.

Oh, the queue wait. I have been researching what business material I need to purchase and what I will need to set up the Lula-lounge. In the queue club group there is a lot of information on running the business, business purchases, and of course the wait. It is looking like onboarding is going to take a lot longer than I originally expected. There is a multitude of consultants signing up daily and this overwhelming number is slowing onboarding. With 150 onboarded a day it still looks like I will be 15 weeks getting inventory from the date I submitted.

I feel thankful that I have this time to get prepared, but not thankful that I have to wait so long. At this rate I will roughly get inventory in the beginning of August. Yay and not Yay, all at the same time.

Stay tuned for more remodeling and waiting.

Leggings Are Not Pants...or So She Said...LulaRoe

Leggings Are Not Pants...or So She Said...LulaRoe

Every person has a reason that they decide to do something in life. Why did I decide to sell LulaRoe? After all their number one seller is leggings and we all know that leggings are not pants. Or are they?

First, you should know that I avidly believed that leggings are not pants. I would see that girl in the store with her fanny shining in those second coat of skin leggings and think "Leggings are not pants people!" Boy was I WRONG!

What gives us the right to decide what clothing makes a person feel amazing?
If it is a moo moo at the supermarket, but you feel like a million bucks...ROCK THAT MOOMOO!
If it is those tight black leggings with your favorite tee...ROCK THOSE LEGGINGS!

That is my why! I have always been overly self-conscious. Never in my life have I been that girl that could wear whatever she wanted and feel gorgeous. Hours have been spent looking in a mirror, changing clothes, throwing them on the ground, setting in the floor of my closet crying. Why does wearing clothing have to be such an important part of life? That question has crossed my mind a billion times. Now that I think of it, I don' think that any person is that girl! Everyone goes through the emotional roller coaster of what am I going to wear? Honestly, do you feel amazing in every piece of clothing you put on?  Didn't think so! You are not ALONE! No woman feels spectacular in every thing they put on.

Then this magic thing happened. An acquaintance of mine added me to her LulaRoe pop-up boutique. I was excited to see what the buzz was all about. I thought "Pssshhhaa, these leggings cannot be that amazing." Again, I was WRONG!

I got a pair of leggings and an Irma top. They arrived and I instantly was in love. My husband was all over me like white on rice. He loved how amazing the leggings felt, but was it just that he loved that about them? I have pondered what is it that makes him so attracted to me when I am sporting my Lula. Regardless of what pieces I am wearing. It could be my leggings, an Irma, a maxi, or even the coveted Amelia in my closet. What is it about LulaRoe?

Then it occurred to me it isn't really LulaRoe. It is that when I put on LulaRoe I feel amazing. I am more confident no matter how chaotic the print is. I am comfortable in my own skin. And this vibe of confidence is infectious. Everyone around me seems to know that I am confident and comfortable.

Do you realize how powerful that is? It is the difference in owning an interview, bossing a meeting, or making that sale. Confidence is connected to so many aspects of life that it is unreal. This is why I know LulaRoe is right for me. It makes me confident and that makes me feel like I can conquer the world. Why would I not want to share this confidence to be comfortable in their own skin with everyone?

Now you know my why LulaRoe! Lets just end the negativity now...Leggings are pants. At least if you want them to be!

If you have any why in the world, share it with me! I don't care if it is that warm fuzzy feeling you get from you pajamas. Tell me why you do what you do and what makes you feel confident!

With Lula love and leggings for pants,
Emily Eden

Call Me Emily: Jack of all trades, Master of none.

Call Me Emily: Jack of all trades, Master of none.

You know the dreaded bio blog? The one where you learn about the blogger and decide if continuing to follow their posts is worth your effort. Yes, this is that one post!

Can I just interject that I want you all to know who I am and what kind of person I am? Also, I would really love for you all to follow me on my Lula Roe journey (hence this blog) knowing who I am as a person. Where I come from in life and where I want to go in life (that will all not be in this one post, if it were you would be reading a novel).

If you haven't already noticed I have a sense of humor and I enjoy to type to my readers the way that I speak. Yes, I am an English Lit major and no that probably doesn't translate very well in to my blog thus far. My hope is that you as the readers get to know what kind of person I am through what I am saying and in a way that I would say it in person. Not some formal mumbo jumbo of a blog that would make you want to run far far away to never return. (Please come back!)

Lets be real, I am a (not so perfect) mother of 4 children. I have no claim to fame as the greatest mother on earth. I try and I honestly feel like that is what counts as a parent. If you love your kids and try your hardest to teach them to be respectable adults you are accomplishing parenting. Is it easy to parent 1, let alone 4? NO! My kids are all completely different beings, with their own unique personalities. They fight, they yell, they are hormonal, and they are also the most loving creatures I have ever had the greatest experience of mothering. The best lesson I have ever learned in life is that you must learn and grow with your children.

Similarly, I feel like marriage is the same thing. I was once told that you could be married to someone your entire life and truly never know them. There has never been a more true statement. Every day is a new day that we learn new things about each other. Is my marriage perfect? NO, but I would not change my spouse or trade him for anything. We laugh, we cry (not Anthoney, because "men don't cry"...or do they?), we learn, we fight, we work together, we live together, we parent together, and most of all we love each other no matter what. The overall theme of our relationship is "we" not "I." That is what works for us, not that every relationship must be mapped out the same, this is just what works for us.

My most recent painting.
Arts and crafts! Did you just say arts and crafts? Two of my favorite words in the entire world. Yep, I am one of those creative souls that is just naturally crafty. I wish sometimes that I wasn't because then I wouldn't have this need to be creative. Not everything I do is a masterpiece, but it is that feeling that I created something that makes me happy. I see this same capability in my children. They love to participate and be creative. However, I don't quite have the time that I would like to set and let the creative juices flow.

You may wonder where I fit in the time for friends and time with extended family. It is quite the task, but I do have a handful of some of the greatest friends a girl could ask for. We are those people that could not talk to each other all the time and when we do get together we talk like we never skipped a beat. Those are the people that everyone needs in their life. They are there when I need them and I am here when they need me.

Basically, in a nutshell this is me and my crazy life. I am a jack of all trades, and definitely a master of none.

Stay tuned for why I chose LulaRoe in the next post.

My Lula-Office, Lula-Boutique, MY LULA LOUNGE!

My Lula-Office, Lula-Boutique, MY LULA LOUNGE!

Oh boy! Where to even begin......

I have a good sized home and luckily I have ample space to choose from. I have decided that I am going to set up "shop" in the basement. This was previously the home of the toy room. However, this means I am going to have to minimally remodel. I am not really a person that enjoys the labor aspect of a remodel. Most of what I have to get done is decorating.

None the less, that carpet has got to go! Whoever built my house thought that ugly maroon commercial grade carpet was suitable for the floor covering in the basement. Can you say YUCK! I am thinking that we will pull that ugly hot mess up and stain the concrete floor. I like the look of a stained concrete floor and then I can get some cute fluffy area rugs for the different "areas" of the basement. Don't even get me started on the light blue carpet on the steps to the basement. I am thinking that the best option for that is to do the vintage wood pallet/crate look. I see it in my head.

And lets just establish that I hate drop ceilings and the ceiling tiles. There is no real appeal to them. They are white with black specks. There is not much I can do about that. BLEH! Unless I want to invest a small fortune in the pretty copper metal looking ones. Not going to happen. What am I gonna do to mask that eye sore? Nothing. I will leave them white and the way that they come. I feel that the floor will be a big investment and will hopefully detract from the ugly ceiling! Focus on the good people! Ha!

On to the walls...They are currently a lovely shade of off white...said every boring plain person everywhere! That means that I have to decide on a paint scheme. This is tough because it is 1900 square feet of open space with zero dividing walls. AND zero windows! I may eventually invest in some new doors for the basement to let some natural light in. If I paint one corner then I have to paint the whole thing! I will be painting for days. And trust me I am not one to mask off a straight line and just paint my little area.

Zones! There are many things happening in the basement. There is the "man cave" area that I promised my husband years ago we would create for him. That is one zone we have to create. Open mouth insert foot...at least that is how I picture it now! Upside, he can hang out with me while I work given the open floorplan and will have a place to not be bored! Then the toys! UGGGG the toys! That area has to be rearranged for the play area for the kiddos. I would love built in shelving for the kids area. The greatest feature of the basement is the kitchenette area. Granted those cabinets are 90's honey oak. Bleh....I am going to probably leave them that way. I learned last summer painting kitchen cabinets is tough and probably not my best achievement. It does have a space for a fridge and I could put a microwave. Yay, fend for yourself nights. What? My kids love fend for yourself nights!

Why so many different zones? Well, I am a family person. The kids could enjoy playing, the hubs could hang in the man cave area, and I could be rocking my Lula business. We would all be enjoying the space together as a family. That idea makes me one happy momma!

However, I am so indecisive when it comes to the design of it all. I have spent many hours surfing Pinterest and Google for home offices. There is a list of things that I know I need to buy to set up shop and all of the other basement zones. I like the idea of repurpose, recycle, reuse, up-style, etc.

Looks like I am off to the yard sales and flea markets to find pieces I could remake. Time to get creative! This may be the perfect time to redo my Grandmothers antique claw foot loveseat. I think it could be a super fun piece for my Lula-lounge.

Wish me luck as I start the remodel in the queue! Its going to be rough, but I know the outcome is going to be so worth it.

The To Do List is LONG!

The To Do List Is LONG!

Overwhelmed is an understatement! There are so many things to get done! How am I ever going to get everything done?Thankfully there is plenty of time in the queue! Whew... oddly waiting is a relief. Never thought I would say that!

You may ask is there really that much to get done. Why, yes. Yes there is!

Let me tell you what I have learned so far.

The first step you take once you are in queue is to set up a LulaRoe email account with the provider of your choice. (I chose Gmail...there are many media outlets that I can connect to Gmail... Like this blog!) This is important to help you communicate with your customers and remove your personal email clutter from your business email.

Now for the fun information or not so fun depending how you look at it. I am going to be primarily online and if your focus is also online like me then there are multiple media outlets that you will need to utilize. However, content is key! Key points to remember:
  • If you let any social media account go stale, then it will very likely stay that way. This includes your VIP group, a fan page, etc.
  • It is better to use accounts that you can link all together. They may not all communicate with one another unless you tell them to do so. They may not be the same content platforms. However, you will catch on which platforms work the best with others. For instance, Instagram works well to share pictures with Facebook (note: I am not sure if Instagram will share directly to a group page. I must figure this out.). Aside from that, I plan to make them connect just to help me utilize my time more wisely.
  • Figure out which platforms you will use the most and focus on those. Once those are grown and well established add some other platforms in to your routine! Don't...I repeat DO NOT overwhelm yourself with to much media outlets to fast. The accounts will suffer.
  • It is better to use less social media if your content is more valuable. Example: Nobody wants to follow someone on Twitter that doesn't offer something interesting! The trick for me is going to be figuring out how to keep my followers on any media engaged. [Insert wise words from my sponsor:] "The clothes will keep people interested." Lets just bank on her wise words! They were more than enough to keep me interested.
  • Wait until close to time to launch to start adding people to your VIP group on Facebook. I am going to set mine up, but make it private until closer to time. That way I have everything ready. My albums will be established (minus the photographs of the clothes), the information, files, and everything will be complete. I will not switch it to closed from private until I am set to start adding customers. This way I don't have to worry about people leaving when they realize I am so far away from launch. I don't want a stale VIP group!
This is just a small amount of what I have learned so far. I thought that I would share what I have picked up. I will say that I have started setting up all of my accounts and linking what I can. I am not currently actively trying to get followers/members. That is what I will do when I get closer to onbarding. (With the exception of YouTube and this blog. These are both accounts where I am sharing my journey from start to success!)

I Just Submitted My Paperwork on 4/19/16! I am in the Queue!

I JUST SUBMITTED MY PAPERWORK ON 4/19/16!               I am in the Queue!

Let me give you a quick intro explaining me and my life . I am Emily. I am a mother of 4, I work full time, and I go to college. I live a wonderfully busy life that I wouldn't change for anything in the world. My husband is my rock and together we raise 4 of the sweetest, wildest, and funniest kids that anyone has ever met.

With that being said lets cut to the chase...LULAROE!

There are so many things that have jogged through my mind since submitting my paperwork last night. Included in these little running thoughts are worries, concerns, excitement, to do lists, and then ahhh...I finally drifted off to sleep. Today when I woke up it was literally the very first thought in my mind. Throughout the day in any downtime it was all I thought about.

Haven't you ever just had something in your life occur that preoccupied most every corner of your mind. (Or at least when you had nothing else to think about..) That is LULAROE! Well of course I think about my children, work, home, my schoolwork (semester is almost over..WOOHOO!), and many other normal life thoughts. Now I have added LulaRoe to my list of thoughts!

You may have many questions about why I would add LulaRoe to my already hectic life. To be completely honest, at first I didn't think this would ever work for me. However, there are several reasons that I took the leap.

First, have you ever fell in love with a piece of clothing so much that you never want to take it off? It may be your old jeans that you have had so long that they conformed to be the perfect fit to your body. This is LulaRoe for me. I received my very first pair of leggings about 4 weeks ago. The minute I got them I was in love. They were soft and comfortable. I looked cute and stylish without sacrificing comfort! The picture to the left is my very first pair of buttery soft leggings and flattering Irma.

I put that outfit on with my fit kicks. No they didn't match, but the rest of me looked cute! I knew that day that I was in trouble. I was either going to break the bank or I was gonna be in big trouble. (Let me just insert here that my husband loved them too!)

Second, have you ever talked about something so much that the people around you started to form a little mini cult? That was me! I told everybody about how much I was in love. It was apparent by my hashtag lulaaddict, hashtag thisishowiroe posts on Facebook. Basically without realizing I was creating other LulaRoe addicts around me.

Third, have you ever just known that something was so right? You just knew that whatever it was that it was meant for you and your life. That is me with LulaRoe. I haven't stopped talking about it in the 4 weeks that I have been a customer. I have talked to everyone about it.

Aside from my constant talking about it everything has fell perfectly in to place. Let me tell you that I am not a credit card person. The idea of getting a credit card scared me to the core! As I was evaluating how I could pay for this without breaking my savings account a miracle happened.

Well, okay, not really a miracle. I was discussing financing the start up with my husband. I logged in to the bank account. SAY WHAT?!?! I hadn't made the bank deposit the week before, my husband did. I forgot that I had money coming and BAM!!! There it was! Not the full amount needed. I had other little sums, but when I put them all together I am just shy of having the funds needed to pay for the package that I want.

At that moment I knew that this was going to all work out! This was right for me. This is right for my life. Then I pondered the situation deeper and I realized that the entire thing is falling together. Not that there won't be speed bumps in my Lula road. I am sure that there will be, but at that moment it all felt right.

I am excited about starting this new journey with my family and my friends.

There is a long list of to do's that I have to accomplish before I onboard. I will update weekly with progress, Things that I have learned and things that I am probably completely confused about!

Thank you for stopping by and reading my exciting news!

Feel free to contact me if you are interested in becoming a consultant or if you want to try some awesome clothes.

Until next time,
With Lula-love and excitement,
Emily Eden

P.S. VIP group link to come. I will not add anyone until I have onboarded, but I will give you all the link to join me! I will also have instagram, twitter, and youtube channel coming soon too! Be on the watch for them!
